Terrence A. Banks

Event Chairman

Terrence A. BanksMr. Banks began his career with the New York City Transit Authority in 1998. He has been promoted several times in his short career, from Conductor, Tower Operator, Train Operator, Assistant Train Dispatcher, Train Dispatcher, and currently as a Train Service Supervisor. His vast experience has allowed him first hand knowledge of the day to day operation of the NYCTA. His present responsibilities include employee safety and rules compliance.

Born in Brooklyn N.Y, now residing in Cambria Hgts Queens, with his Fiancé Cheryl and two daughters. He was proud to have been featured with his father, brothers and nephew’s on the cover of Time Magazine for their participation in the Million Man March in 1995.

Mr Banks  serves as Chairman of the Legislative committee and Chairman of the Special events Committee for the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO-NY) New York Chapter. He currently serves as Vice Chairmen of the Health and Wellness committee of the One Hundred Black Men Inc. The One Hundred Black Men is a youth serving organization that has a four decade history as a leading voice in civic issues, and promoting equality and economic empowerment for people of color. The organization, founded in 1963, has since become an international organization of over 10,000 members with 106 Chapters worldwide.

Mr. Banks serves on the Deaoconate Board of the Christ Fellowship Baptist Church. He was part of the administrating staff to oversee the development of a newly constructed 15 million dollar Sanctuary and life center located in Brooklyn N.Y.

Mr. Banks is a product of the New York City Public School System and currently pursuing his degree in Transportation Management at John Jay College.
